The park’s landscape is a mix of dense teak and bamboo forests, grasslands, deep valleys, and scenic lakes, with the Tadoba Lake, Kolsa Lake, and Andhari River acting as vital water sources for wildlife.
Apart from tigers, the reserve is home to Indian leopards, sloth bears, Indian gaur (bison), wild dogs (dholes), striped hyenas, marsh crocodiles, sambar deer, chital (spotted deer), barking deer, and four-horned antelopes (chousingha).
Tadoba is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 250 species of birds, including crested serpent eagles, grey-headed fish eagles, paradise flycatchers, and hornbills. The park is well-known for its thrilling jeep safaris, with key zones such as Moharli, Kolsa, and Tadoba offering excellent wildlife sightings.
