Nameri National Park In Assam, India

Nameri National Park, located in the Sonitpur district of Assam, India, is a biodiversity hotspot and an adventure lover’s paradise. Nameri is home to several endangered species, including the Bengal tiger, Asiatic elephant, Indian leopard, clouded leopard, sloth bear, wild boar, and barking deer.

Covering an area of 200 square kilometers, it is part of the Eastern Himalayan foothills and shares a border with Pakke Tiger Reserve in Arunachal Pradesh. Declared a national park in 1998, Nameri is also a Tiger Reserve and is known for its rich wildlife, pristine forests, and the beautiful Jia Bhoroli River that flows through it.
