Guindy National Park, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is one of the smallest yet most significant national parks in India, covering an area of just 2.7 square kilometers. Originally part of the Guindy Lodge, the official residence of the British Governor, the area was later converted into a protected forest in 1910 and declared a national park in 1976.
