Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park, located in Hyderabad, Telangana, is a significant urban wildlife sanctuary spread over 14.59 square kilometers. Named after Lord Mahavir, the 24th Jain Tirthankara, this park was originally the hunting grounds of the Nizams of Hyderabad before being declared a national park in 1975, commemorating the 2,500th birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir.
